Longest Hitter in the World Says It’s Hirzl or Nothing
HIRZL
USA in Mesquite, Nevada & HIRZL AG in St Gallen, Switzerland –
HIRZL team members on both sides of the Atlantic are celebrating their
role in setting an extraordinary new world record.
November 6th
witnessed the announcement from the 2011 ReMax World Long Drive
Championship
David Mobley smashed the existing world long drive record in the Senior Division (set by Frank Miller in 2007 at 394+
yards) with a colossal drive of 459 yards – and his glove was a HIRZL.
Not
only setting a new world record, but doing it so convincingly by a
whole 65 yards is momentous not just because of the distance and
differential margin, but additionally that the Senior distance was a
full 50 yards longer than the winner of the Open Division title!
Champagne
corks were popping at HIRZL headquarters in St Gallen because the
record heralds not just a global athletic achievement, but a real
step-change in the fortunes of the Swiss glove engineers: because the
brand is built entirely around the fact that gloves engineered to this
level actively make a difference to golfing performance, and thus
represent a genuine techno-logical enhancement rather than a mere
golfing accessory.
A
thorough grasp of the biomechanics involved in the golfer/club
connection further means that HIRZL is not just a ‘muscle’ glove. The
brand is equally visible in the broader golf community – attracting
growing number of club golfers and Tour players. It is the official
glove of the Ladies European Tour (LET) and counts Anna Nordqvist,
Stacey Keating and Lis Esterl among its staff players. The universal
performance levels attest to the engineering processes behind HIRZL
gloves.
Broadly
speaking, it is the virtually sweat-free comfort with maximum sensory
feedback built into the HIRZL Grippp™ kangaroo leather range that helps
make it popular wit LET players and clubfitters. The optimal softness,
tear-resistance and integral moisture-wicking qualities of the Premium
Cabretta HIRZL Soffft™ glove, meanwhile, delivers consistent control at
the Hand/club interface during sustained, high-energy athletic demand.
Here too, the Grippp Trust Control and Feel ranges can be a preference
for long-drive demands owing to their extraordinary energy-transfer
characteristics.
